Job Level: Entry Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Day POSITION SUMMARY Under direct supervision, provides application engineering support for the development, implementation, and optimization of ETI's component products and services, including vacuum pumps, dry pumps, abatement systems, and related semiconductor equipment. Serves as a technical resource for customers, field service engineers, technicians, and internal teams by providing product selection guidance, application recommendations, troubleshooting assistance, and root‑cause analysis. Supports the diagnosis, repair, debugging, and continuous improvement of complex electro‑mechanical and chemical systems to maintain high levels of equipment performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide, present, and interpret design, application, and service information, and make presentations on all aspects of ETI Components Vacuum and Abatement Products. Assist sales staff in assessing the potential application of company products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications and data by communicating with other offices of Ebara worldwide. Provide technical applications and marketing support for the development and implementation of customer applications dealing with complex operating systems. Provide support to Sales, Marketing, and Field Service regarding product specification, selection, and part numbers. Implement detailed customer installation plans and assist. Work on problems of limited scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Provide follow‑up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications. Comply with EBARA's safety policies, including participation in and completion of all required safety training. Maintain a clean and safe working environment compliant with Ebara and customer safety policies. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS POSITION QUALIFICATIONS The ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted from the floor to waist level. The ability to perform the identified essential functions of the classification, including the operation of any machinery and/or equipment that is associated with performing the essential functions. The ability to perform the essential functions of the position in a cross‑cultural, demanding, and dynamic environment. The ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat of harm to him/herself, others or property. The ability to adhere to EBARA personnel policies and practices, including the attendance and punctuality requirements. The ability to work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines, and at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors. Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Physics preferred), or equivalent experience. Experience One (1) to four (4) years of work experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry. SKILLS & ABILITIES Working knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Speaking in front of groups/strong presentation skills. Strong time management skills. Self‑starter. Demonstrated leadership and program management skills. Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal colleagues and customers. Demonstrated teamwork and organizational skills. Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills. Provide verification of a good driving record if servicing customers offsite.
