Requirements:

  • This role follows a hybrid working model, requiring 2–3 days per week in the Johannesburg office.
  • 3+ years of experience in machine learning, deep learning, or applied AI research
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX)
  • Familiarity with model training, evaluation, and deployment
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistics

Nice to have:

  • Experience with large-scale models (LLMs, diffusion models, or similar)
  • Familiarity with distributed training and cloud compute (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Publications or contributions to open-source AI projects
