A rapidly growing food and consumer products organization is seeking a strategic, commercially driven Sales Manager to accelerate growth across key domestic markets and customer channels. This leadership role will be responsible for driving sales performance, strengthening customer partnerships, identifying new market opportunities, and executing initiatives that increase market share and profitability. The position offers significant visibility within the organization and provides a clear opportunity to influence both regional growth strategy and long-term commercial initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong sales leadership experience within CPG, food distribution, grocery, or related industries with a consultative, relationship-driven approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute regional sales strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth and market expansion Identify emerging business opportunities across retail, foodservice, wholesale, and distribution channels Analyze market dynamics, customer trends, and competitive activity to support strategic decision-making Deliver accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting Customer Growth & Partnership Management Build and strengthen long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners Serve as a trusted advisor by delivering solutions that support customer growth and operational success Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, logistics, finance, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution Drive customer retention, account expansion, and strategic business reviews Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop high-performing sales talent across assigned territories Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement Support talent development and succession planning initiatives within the commercial organization Champion field engagement, training, and leadership development opportunities Business Development & Market Expansion Identify whitespace opportunities, emerging channels, and strategic growth initiatives Support new customer acquisition efforts and expansion of existing strategic accounts Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, distribution models, and evolving consumer preferences Contribute to broader commercial planning and category growth strategies Manage sales plans, budgets, and profitability objectives to maximize return on investment Monitor key performance indicators and business metrics to drive operational excellence Partner with internal stakeholders to align inventory planning, sourcing strategies, and customer demand forecasts Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales, or a related field preferred Experience 7+ years of progressive sales experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), food distribution, grocery, protein, retail, foodservice, or related industries Prior sales leadership, district management, or regional account management experience strongly preferred Proven success managing strategic customer relationships and delivering measurable revenue growth Experience working with large retail, distribution, or foodservice customers is highly desirable Procurement, sourcing, category management, or supply chain exposure is a plus What Will Make You Successful Executive presence with strong communication and influencing skills Strategic mindset balanced with a hands-on, results-oriented approach Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities Ability to build credibility and relationships at all levels of an organization Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth and continuous improvement Customer-focused approach with a commitment to building long-term partnerships Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills strongly preferred Willingness to travel as needed to support customers, market development, and team engagement Opportunity Highlights High-impact leadership role within a growing organization Significant visibility with executive leaders Opportunity to influence commercial strategy and organizational growth Exposure to major customer relationships and strategic initiatives Strong potential for future advancement within the commercial organization
