Key Details Position: QTS / ECT Science Teacher Location: Walsall Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Long-term supply Pay: £175 – £250 per day (dependent on experience) Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
The Role A secondary school in Walsall is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their department from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis. The successful candidate will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well-planned lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will inspire curiosity, develop students’ practical and analytical skills, and support pupils in achieving strong outcomes in their GCSE Science qualifications. As part of a supportive faculty, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and creating a positive learning environment where all students are encouraged to reach their full potential. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement while contributing to the wider success of the department.
The Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold QTS or be an ECT Have experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 Be confident delivering lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills Be committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement Have a genuine passion for Science and inspiring young learners
