Setting Out Engineer Civil Engineering A Setting Out Engineer is required for a leading civil engineering contractor delivering all civil works packages on a large-scale apartment development on the South Circular Road, Dublin 8.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to join a well-established contractor and gain experience on a high-profile residential project.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Engineer and site management team, supporting the delivery of all civil engineering works on site.
The role will involve setting out, surveying, quality control, and ensuring works are completed in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.
Duties: Carry out setting out and surveying duties for all civil engineering works on a large-scale apartment development in Dublin 8.
Work closely with the Senior Engineer and site management team to ensure works are delivered in line with project requirements.
Use GPS equipment and robotic total stations to accurately set out works on site.
Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and design requirements.
Conduct site surveys and maintain accurate records of setting out information.
Monitor and check workmanship to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Assist with the preparation of as-built drawings and project documentation.
Coordinate with subcontractors and site personnel to ensure smooth project delivery.
Identify and report any design issues or discrepancies to the Senior Engineer.
Assist in the management of site activities to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Attend site meetings and provide progress updates as required.
Requirements: 2+ years' experience as a Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering or construction projects.
Experience working for a civil engineering contractor is essential.
Strong setting out experience using GPS equipment and robotic total stations.
Experience on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Good knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Relevant degree or qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Eligible to work in Ireland.
Full driving licence preferred.
Salary and Benefits: Salary circa €55k€65k depending on experience.
