Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise across the program acquisition life cycle in quality, mission assurance and manufacturing for assigned MDA programs. Implement MDA quality and mission assurance requirements by serving as subject matter expert in the identification, evaluation and mitigation of risks associated with design, development, manufacturing, fielding and operation of MDA systems. Apply the MDA Assurance Provisions (MAP), a standardized set of 14 QSMA provisions, requirements and processes, to measure, confirm and validate mission success through metrics collection, risk assessment, technical evaluations, independent assessment, reviews, testing and continuous process improvement. Assist in review and assessment of hardware and software compliance with quality and related mission assurance requirements, including support of failure investigations, failure review boards, evaluations, audits and assessments. Activities include determining root causes of failures of MDA hardware. Provide technical and data management expertise for quality and mission assurance boards, working groups and reviews, including technical and mission reviews, pedigree reviews, first‑article inspections and risk working groups. Prepare draft documents, briefs, presentations and action‑item responses, which may include information papers. Provide weekly status reports on activities and issues of concern. Travel periodically, approximately twice per quarter. Position is located at the MDA facility in Huntsville, AL, with an expectation to work onsite at least 2 days per week and additional days as required; telework from home is authorized when not required to be onsite. Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of experience in a related field, including: Experience supporting or running Failure Review Boards and executing the FRACAS process. Knowledge of reliability programs supporting quality and mission assurance. Experience in quality and in implementing quality practices and oversight. Experience assisting in the formulation of opinions and decisions for quality and mission assurance practices. Experience assessing advanced systems concepts, evaluating specifications and performing system integration. Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Engineering from an ABET‑accredited engineering curriculum. Security Clearance
