*SUMMARY*
The Estimator is responsible for developing comprehensive cost estimates by assessing materials, labor, equipment, and resources required for pipeline construction projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
· Review proposal specifications/drawings and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
· Review design options and recommend best solutions based on cost, engineering, schedule, and/or availability of materials.
· Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
· Manage RFP process for necessary vendors and/or subcontractors.
· Interface with Bid Coordinator / Subcontracts Administrator to produce RFP deliverables (execution plans, schedules, rate sheets, etc.).
· Maintain files of working documents as back-ups for estimate figures. Follow awarded contracts as assigned, including estimating extra work items, change orders, credits; procuring material, etc.
· Maintain/analyze historical project trends.
· Assist in the transition of awarded projects to execution team.
· Send time sensitive reports and deliverables to customers as well as calendar updates.
· Ensure compliance with project plan.
· Additional duties as required.
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES*
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
· Experience with estimating software (Hard Dollar, B2W, HeavyBid) preferred.
· Familiarity with scheduling software (Primavera P6, TILOS) preferred.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
· Understanding of union labor agreements and pipeline construction practices.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to travel on short notice, typically short durations.
*QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS*
· Bachelor’s degree is preferred although not required. (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field)
· 3+ Experience in Pipeline / Oil & Gas industry is preferred although not required.
· Project Management or Estimating experience is preferred although not required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
