Overview / Summary We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with strong experience in Eagle STAR and Eagle PACE within an Asset Management (Middle Office) environment. The role involves acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to support data management, performance measurement, reporting, and system enhancements. The ideal candidate will bring strong investment domain knowledge, data analysis expertise, and hands-on experience with Eagle applications.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
Gather and document business requirements from Middle Office stakeholders
Translate functional requirements into detailed technical specifications
Prepare BRD, FRD, data mapping, and process flow documentation
Conduct workshops and stakeholder interviews
Eagle STAR / PACE Functional Expertise
Work with Eagle STAR (performance, attribution, reporting)
Work with Eagle PACE (data ingestion, reference data, pricing, transactions)
Define and validate data flows across Eagle modules
Configure or support panels, message center, and uploaders/exporters as needed
Support system enhancements and upgrades
Data Analysis & Reconciliation
Perform SQL-based data analysis (Oracle preferred)
Conduct data reconciliation between source systems and Eagle
Analyze pricing, corporate actions, positions, and benchmark data
Investigate and explain performance discrepancies
Middle Office Domain Support
Support portfolio reconciliation, performance reporting, NAV validation, and security master management
Collaborate with Fund Accounting, Performance teams, and Portfolio Managers
Assist in month-end and quarter-end reporting cycles
Testing & Validation
Prepare test cases and execute SIT/UAT
Coordinate UAT with business users
Validate performance calculations and reports
Support production release validation
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Liaise with Eagle vendor support
Coordinate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams
Provide status updates and track issues
Required Qualifications
6+ years of overall experience
4+ years of experience working with Eagle STAR and Eagle PACE
Strong expertise in:
Eagle STAR
Eagle PACE
Oracle SQL / data analysis
Eagle data model
Experience with SDLC/Agile methodology
Experience using Jira, ServiceNow, or similar tools
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or OBIEE
Knowledge of Asset Management / Investment Management
Understanding of Middle Office operations
Knowledge of performance measurement (TWR, attribution basics)
Familiarity with securities (equities, fixed income, derivatives preferred)
Knowledge of pricing, corporate actions, and benchmark data handling
Experience in production ticket analysis, gap analysis, and solutioning
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent documentation skills
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Nice to Have
Exposure to FactSet or Bloomberg
Knowledge of Eagle Accounting
Experience in performance attribution
Experience in data migration or transformation
Prior experience in Asset Management or Hedge Fund environment
