Job Description Lottery Ticket Sales Representative 1 (260003VY). Full‑time position located in Region 5, Columbus, Ohio. Compensation $26.54 per hour. Work schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Union: OCSEA.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with lottery retailers within the assigned district to support sales growth.
Maintain an assigned sales route and visit retailers on a scheduled basis.
Monitor and adjust instant ticket price points and product mix to meet market demand.
Communicate sales, new product promotions, display and removal of stale or outdated products with retailers.
Provide ongoing updates on gaming regulations, lottery policies, procedures, and processes.
Assist retailers in maintaining clean, clutter‑free selling areas and building/mending Scratch‑Off displays.
Prospect and recruit new retail locations for traditional lottery games and on‑premises Keno and Monitor Games.
Explain new games and how to play them to customers.
Serve as a team member to achieve sales goals.
Perform basic troubleshooting on Ohio Lottery sales equipment and terminals.
Stay current on Ohio Lottery products, services, and statewide or in‑store promotions.
Inform retailers of bond and license renewals and provide real‑time status updates for the Retailer Incentive Program.
Use Ohio Lottery software and mobile devices to review and maintain retailer and sales information.
Maintain assigned vehicle clean, organized, and stocked with point‑of‑sale materials.
Assist retailers with bookkeeping issues and assist with statewide and in‑store promotions.
Perform other duties and work on special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Six courses or 18 months of experience in marketing (e.g., sales management, sales promotion, advertising, consumer behavior & research, retail management).
Twelve months of training or experience in public relations.
Two courses or six months of experience in bookkeeping.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical ability to push, pull, or otherwise move up to 35 lbs.
Equivalent educational or experiential experience that meets the minimum class qualifications for employment.
