Ensure compliance with regulatory standards of the Joint Commission, CMS PRTF, and other accreditation bodies. Design, implement, and monitor a quality assurance and risk management program. Assess the efficacy of practice improvement initiatives and prepare data‑rich reports for presentations. Conduct program analysis of staff development and training. Manage, supervise, and provide guidance to staff and programs. Oversee medical records and maintain compliance with privacy regulations. Monitor and analyze outcomes, identify problem areas, recommend solutions, and track corrective actions. Serve as a liaison between the facility and partners within DCF, Beacon Health Options, advocates, and other stakeholders. Participate in or chair committees and task forces related to quality assurance. Develop procedures, data management strategies, and presentations that support continuous improvement. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, statutes, and regulations. Understanding of Joint Commission and CMS certification standards. Familiarity with principles of modern psychiatric hospital or juvenile justice facility administration. Competence in research methods and statistical analysis. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Proficiency with computer systems and data analysis tools. Ability to apply management principles in a community psychiatry or corrections setting. Minimum Qualifications
Eight (8) years of professional experience in behavioral health facilities, systems, or research environments. One (1) year of that experience in a behavioral health quality assurance program or equivalent. Substitute qualifications: • Fifteen (15) semester hours of nursing, psychology, social work, or closely related field training may be converted to one‑half (½) year of experience up to four (4) years for a bachelor’s degree. • Similar training in related human services, child development, criminal justice, counseling, marriage and family therapy may also be substituted on the same basis. • A master’s degree may substitute for one (1) additional year of experience. Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation and CMS certification processes. Experience with quality assurance/performance improvement initiatives. Ability to analyze and report data to inform improvement strategies. Behavioral health facility risk management experience. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality management techniques. Clinical practice experience in a psychiatric hospital or behavioral health setting. Supervisory experience of professional staff in a quality assurance or risk management program. About the Albert J. Solnit Children’s Center–North Campus
Albert J. Solnit Children’s Center–North Campus is a state‑administered Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) for adolescent boys aged 13‑17. The Center provides comprehensive care to adolescents with complex psychiatric profiles who cannot be safely assessed or treated in less restrictive settings.
