The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule (MPS) to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with sales, production, and supply chain to align the MPS with business objectives and capacity constraints.
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust the MPS to minimize excess inventory and prevent stockouts.
  • Analyze production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks, proposing solutions to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage scheduling data, track progress, and generate relevant reports.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to review schedule performance, address issues, and facilitate decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain scheduling best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in production planning, scheduling, or master scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in MRP/ERP systems and advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to optimize production schedules.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • APICS CSCP or CPIM certification preferred.
