Job Description National General, a subsidiary of The Allstate Corporation, seeks a Territory Sales Manager to exceed new business production, premium, and loss ratio goals by managing Independent Agency Partners in a designated market to increase market share and drive profitable growth. Key Responsibilities Position and promote the full suite of National General Insurance products—including personal auto, homeowners, commercial vehicle, flood, recreational vehicle, and specialty vehicle & household packages—to Independent Agency Partners. Deliver on the business unit’s annual execution plan (growth, profitability, agency engagement, new appointments) with a focus on Specialty Vehicle and Household packages. Serve as the key liaison within the assigned market to independent agencies and industry associations; be field‑facing four days per week, leading initiatives, maintaining accurate CRM records, and following up on sales activities. Collaborate with Independent Agents to develop agency‑specific short‑term and long‑term strategic business plans, review performance, and recommend adjustments. Leverage production data and reports to identify trends, seize opportunities, and address agency performance—including training and skill‑gap remediation. Drive quote and issuance flow in the assigned market beyond rate and underwriting trends filed and implemented in the market. Consult with IA’s to gather market intelligence, promote NGAAC products, and tailor market enhancements aligned with industry opportunities. Integrate product and user technology and comparative rating platforms within the market and assigned agencies. Work with Product, Pricing, and Operations to perform stakeholder and risk analysis on market‑related issues. Develop and maintain the new agency appointment pipeline, supporting National Accounts & Alternative Distribution initiatives to implement corporate agreements locally and coach new TSM candidates. Qualifications Must reside in the state of Oregon. Four‑year bachelor’s degree (preferred). Five or more years of experience (preferred). Position has no supervisory duties.
