Creative Materials, Inc. is seeking a technical driven Regional Sales Manager based out of our Ayer, MA headquarters to drive revenue growth, develop strategic customer relationships, and identify new design-in opportunities across advanced manufacturing markets. This position requires you to act as the commercial and technical bridge between our facility and the customer’s engineering and manufacturing floor.
You will be solving complex assembly and application challenges with the assistance of our Applications Engineering team. Your mandate is to drive the qualification of advanced adhesives, coatings, and inks into highly engineered OEM applications by coordinating the quoting, testing, evaluation, and eventual approval of CMI materials in customer applications.
Key Responsibilities
Process Integration & Application: Drive the qualification process by consulting on customer application needs. You should understand or be able to learn, troubleshooting and optimizing: dispensing, screen printing, jetting, and pad printing processes.
Consultative Value-Selling: Work engineer-to-engineer to understand design requirements, including substrate surface energies, joint design, and thermal/mechanical stress requirements. With the help of our Application Engineers, recommend the correct product for specific material pairings (plastics, metals, advanced composites).
Pipeline & Account Management: Manage the full sales cycle from initial technical discovery to final scale-up. Protect and grow existing accounts while aggressively hunting new OEM opportunities to specify our materials.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Sit on-site in Ayer to actively coordinate with our Applications Engineers, internal R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams to expedite sample lead times and resolve technical hurdles during customer trials.
Hard Requirements
Education: B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the adhesives, coatings, or specialty inks market in either an Applications Engineering or a Technical Sales capacity.
Technical Acumen: Understanding of reactive adhesive chemistries (e.g., epoxies, urethanes, acrylics, silicones) and their curing mechanisms (UV, thermal, moisture) as well as when to which chemistry.
Equipment Literacy: Hands-on experience with automated dispensing and printing equipment used in modern manufacturing environments.
Travel: Ability to travel 30-50% to customer manufacturing sites across the region to meet with customer engineering teams, conduct manufacturing trials, technical investigations, and commercial negotiations.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience selling into high-reliability OEM manufacturing sectors, specifically semiconductor packaging, PCB assembly, medical devices/wearables, printed electronics, or aerospace.
Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce) to manage complex, multi-year sales cycles and accurate quoting.
Our compensation package is structured to provide financial stability during long sales cycles while aggressively rewarding new design wins and revenue growth.
Compensation
Compensation: Uncapped performance-based bonus structure tied to existing revenue and growth with OTE (includes base + bonus) in the $130,000 to $180,000 range.
Vehicle Program: Monthly car allowance provided.
