Work Schedule Ally designates roles as (1) fully on‑site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. We’re looking for a passionate analytics professional with great communication skills for our Auto Underwriter Optimization team. This person will execute quantitative analysis and problem solving to develop in‑depth business‑relevant insights, scenario‑based assumptions and forward‑looking analysis. Utilizing data from databases, internal reports, market and business trends, and financial statements, the analyst will play an integral role in strategy development and associated risk management. They will also mentor developing analytics professionals and connect with other analytics teams to build capability. Ally is partnering with Salesforce to build a comprehensive Underwriting Command Center—a strategic, centralized tool within Salesforce that unifies caller identification, bidirectional texting, application data, and performance analytics. As a Senior Analyst – Advanced Business Analytics, you will help by providing analysis to drive business decisions and prioritization for the UW Command Center and other underwriting initiatives.

The Work Itself
Independently interface with key stakeholders to provide timely and accurate analysis that drives business objectives and targets
Perform analysis to drive change within the business
Identify, quantify and propose risk/reward trade‑off recommendations
Develop strategy and associated performance analysis that achieve business objectives and results
Apply knowledge of business and balanced judgment in interpreting data
Provide analytical and data support in the design and review of strategy tests and current operations
Communicate with stakeholders across multiple teams
Perform ad hoc analysis and quickly provide results and recommendations
Engage in a culture of diversity and inclusion
Experience
3+ years of experience
Auto Lending, Banking, or Financial Services experience preferred
Analytics experience preferred
Skills You Bring
Auto Lending, Banking, or Financial Services experience preferred
Subject matter expertise for Auto Lending and CRM preferred
Familiar with analytic processes including writing and executing data queries, cleaning data, extracting insights, and presenting findings with actionable recommendations to stakeholders
Independent thought and work
Experience working in cross‑functional teams
Knowledge of processes, systems and technology to coordinate implementation of change
Intermediate technical skills with SQL, Excel and/or analysis software
Prioritizing day‑to‑day tasks with longer‑term projects while communicating with stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment
Crafting engaging data‑driven strategic recommendations to influence decision‑makers
Tailoring messaging for different audiences
Education Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Demonstrated Ability In
Auto Lending, Banking, or Financial Services experience preferred
Subject matter expertise for Auto Lending and CRM preferred
Experience writing and executing data queries, cleaning data, and extracting insights

Compensation Base Pay Range: $85,000 - $150,000 USD. An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
