Job Summary The Sales Intern will support the Sales department by assisting with various tasks while gaining a foundational understanding of material products and their applications.
Main Responsibilities
Provide superior levels of customer service to each customer by understanding and meeting client needs.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and industry events.
Prepare and submit accurate quotes, contracts, and pricing strategies for projects.
Maintain detailed customer records using automated systems.
Provide post‑sale support to ensure customer satisfaction and long‑term relationships.
Shadow Sales team members and travel to various jobsites to gain hands‑on experience.
Support the Sales team by developing a pipeline of projects and coordinating job‑site services.
Monitor market trends, product innovations, and competitor activities.
Contribute to marketing initiatives that promote products and services.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience
Must be actively working towards a college degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data.
Self‑motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to utilize hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need require.
Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the need arise.
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch should the need arise.
Ability to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workday.
Ability to see clearly or with assistance via necessary correction.
Sometimes driving long distances to job sites.
