The Quality Assurance Manager will support the execution, maintenance, and continuous improvement of GAMA-1 Technologies' Integrated Management System (IMS) within a federal government contracting environment. This position supports compliance across ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1, ISO 27001, CMMC Level 2, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMI Services frameworks by partnering with business units, IT, and other stakeholders to drive process adherence, maintain compliance evidence, and support audit readiness in a
remote
work environment.
Success in this role means ensuring audits, compliance activities, corrective actions, risk management processes, and document controls are effectively coordinated and maintained. The ideal candidate will proactively identify opportunities for improvement, foster accountability across stakeholders, and help ensure the organization remains compliant, audit-ready, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
Requirements What You Will Do in This Role The Quality Assurance Manager will support and maintain enterprise compliance and governance programs by managing the Integrated Management System (IMS), coordinating audits, corrective actions, risk and POA&M tracking, document control, and reporting while ensuring adherence to ISO, CMMC, NIST 800-171, and CMMI requirements across business units.
Responsibilities include:
Executes and maintains the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring policies, procedures, and controls are implemented across business units and compliance artifacts remain accurate and audit-ready.
Coordinates and supports internal and external audits (ISO, CMMC, government), including evidence collection, documentation, and tracking of findings and remediation.
Manages nonconformities and corrective actions end-to-end, including root cause analysis, tracking remediation, and verifying closure. Maintains the POA&M register and supports issue resolution across teams.
Maintains the corporate risk register, tracks mitigation activities, and escalates risks as needed to ensure timely resolution.
Supports CMMC Level 2, NIST 800-171, and ISMS compliance by collecting, validating, and reviewing evidence and ensuring traceability between controls, policies, and documentation.
Supports CMMI process execution and continuous improvement by ensuring processes are followed, measured, documented, and refined over time.
Manages document control and records governance, including versioning, approvals, secure storage, and coordination with system administrators for proper access and structure.
Maintains compliance reporting and dashboards, including audit status, risk tracking, and POA&M progress, and supports leadership reporting and management reviews.
Partners with business units to drive compliance execution, follow up on action items, ensure timely completion, and elevate issues when needed.
Supports governance execution under senior leadership, ensuring business units own delivery while maintaining compliance oversight and coordination.
May serve as Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) supporting security program execution, audit readiness, documentation, and integration of security requirements into compliance systems.
What You Will Bring Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Quality Management, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
5-7+ years of experience in quality, compliance, audit, information security, or a related discipline within a regulated environment.
Experience supporting one or more management system frameworks, including ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 20000-1, and/or ISO/IEC 27001.
Experience participating in internal audits, compliance assessments, or audit readiness activities.
Familiarity with CMMC Level 2 and/or NIST SP 800-171 requirements.
Experience managing corrective actions, nonconformities, root cause analysis, and remediation tracking.
Strong organizational, documentation, and evidence management skills.
Ability to coordinate across multiple business units and stakeholders to drive accountability and execution.
Ability to work independently within an established governance and compliance framework.
Preferred qualifications
ISO 9001 and/or ISO 27001 Internal Auditor certification.
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar quality/compliance certification.
Experience supporting CMMC Level 2 readiness efforts, assessments, or compliance programs.
Experience supporting NIST SP 800-171 implementation, assessment, or continuous monitoring activities.
Experience with CMMI Services or other process improvement frameworks.
Experience supporting a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or security compliance program.
Experience using Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) or external vendors supporting security or compliance requirements.
This work is normally completed in a remote environment.
Physical Demands

Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's and client facilities.
