Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design. Leads the work of other small group of 3 to 4 engineers for assigned Engineering projects. Leads and participates in end to end service implementations, data feeds ingestion, and orchestration. Designs and implements low latency services. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Troubleshoots business and production issues. Tech stack: Java, Kafka, BigQuery, GCS, Kubernetes, SpringBoot. Top 3 skills needed/required: Java, SpringBoot, BigQuery. Skills and/or experience that would separate the top candidate: 3-7 years experience. What makes a candidate profile stand out to you? Experience in basic UI. Day-to-day responsibilities: Design, Dev, test, deploy, support. Project: BuyBox. Contribution to the project: Development. Team makeup: 6 FTE, 2 Contractors. Location requirement: Yes. Sunnyvale on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Will a Walmart badge be needed at onset or in the future? Yes. If hybrid or in office role, how many days a week will the candidate need to come into the office? 2 days.
