Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer - Loss Prevention in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a premier financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this armed post, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related response activities appropriate for a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations while verifying credentials, screening access, and reporting policy violations in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
  • Support emergency preparedness efforts by assisting with evacuations, medical responses, and other site-specific procedures while maintaining a visible presence and following Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
