Job DescriptionLife doesn't always follow a fixed schedule. That's why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.
As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Response in Montgomery, AL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $15.91 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PMHow This Role Works:
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with property management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or unauthorized access.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support access control practices and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards to the appropriate contacts.
- Complete routine reports, logs, and incident documentation while following Allied Universal standards and the location's established procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Have customer service experience, preferred.
- Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
