About the Opportunity
Eriez Flotation Canada Inc. the flagship office for FLOTATION, is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our Sales Team. Your primary function to create and service a sales pipeline of opportunities and to convert those opportunities into sales for the company’s Flotation products. The Sales Engineer is responsible to work within the provided strategies. This includes direct selling to end-users, OEM’s and EPC’s, managing and retaining relationships with existing clients and supporting representative agents across the region. This position is remote, based in Ontario or Quebec.

- Gérer les listes d’occasions, de comptes et de cibles; planifier et prioriser pour développer les affaires dans les zones couvertes au Canada
- Atteindre un objectif de 40 à 50 % du temps en contact direct avec les clients, tel que défini par les indicateurs de performance (KPI)
- Diriger l’élaboration de propositions commerciales, incluant l’estimation des budgets, la présentation au client et les suivis sur l’avancement des projets
- Être bien organisé(e), capable de planifier les rencontres clients et les déplacements associés (environ 50 %)
- Identifier les occasions de vente et coordonner les ressources d’Eriez pour y répondre
- Offrir du soutien technique aux clients et recommander des solutions, au besoin
- Contribuer à la préparation et participer à des salons commerciaux et des conférences au besoin
- Être responsable des projets clients en interne, de la conception à la livraison, en assurant la transition réussie vers l’ingénierie et la gestion de projet après la commande, et vers le client à la fin du projet
- Participer aux réunions de vente périodiques en présentant des résumés d’occasions de vente, d’analyses de marché et de la concurrence
- Mettre à jour l’état des projets et des occasions dans le système CRM et communiquer les informations nécessaires
- Capacité à gérer les priorités, atteindre les objectifs de vente convenus et respecter les échéances
ENGLISH:
In this role, you will undertake the following duties, including but not limited to:
- Identify opportunities, build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve sales growth
- Convert opportunities into orders through solution-based sales and relationship selling
- Prepare, deliver and present detailed technical and commercial sales/product proposals and presentations
- Deliver customer presentations daily or weekly as the per the business plan.
- Manage lists of opportunities, accounts and targets, plan and prioritize to grow business within Canada’s coverage areas
- Plan to achieve 40-50% customer face/contact time targets as defined by the agreed KPI’s
- Lead development of commercial proposals including estimating budgets and presenting the proposal to the client, and ongoing follow ups on the project status
- Must be well organized, able to plan client engagement and associated travel (approx. 50%)
- Identify sales opportunities and coordinate Eriez resources to address them
- Assist, as required, to solve customer technical problems and recommend solutions.
- Contribute to the preparation of and attend trade shows & conferences as required
- Champion client projects internally from concept to delivery, ensuring successful handover to Engineering & Project Management after the order, and to the Client at completion.
- Contribute to periodic sales meetings by summarizing sales opportunities, market analysis and competitor analysis
- Update status of projects and opportunities in CRM and communicate as required
- Ability to prioritise workload, set and achieve agreed sales targets and meet deadlines

About You
To qualify, you must have +3 years of relevant experience experience in Mining or Mineral Processing comprising one or more of the following:
- Equipment sales, including developing solutions and implementing them in the field
- Field services and training to mining industry clients
- Familiarity with flotation technology
We also require a degree in related field such as Metallurgical or Mineral Processing Engineering and ability to register as P. Eng (Exceptions considered for more experienced candidates). Preference will be given to candidates with experience in sales in flotation technology, manufacturing, and/or mining equipment industry.
In addition, you must have knowledge, skills, or experience in the following:
- Strong sales and business acumen to develop and maintain long-term client relationships
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including confidence in giving presentations
- Self-motivated, with a capacity to work independently and collaboratively
- Fully competent in MS Office products
- Experience with a CRM system a plus
- French Language Skills required
