Human Resource Manager

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for an HR Manager at Columbus & Les Peters Youth Academies in Tampa, FL.

Columbus Youth Academy is a moderate-risk residential commitment program for male youth up to age 19. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based sex offender services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while in the program.

Pay: Starting at $60,000 Annually.

What you will do: The Human Resources Manager is primarily responsible for the oversight of all Human Resources functions for the site to ensure that the Human Resources goals and objectives are met. The Human Resources Generalist reports to the site Program Director and their Regional Human Resources Director. This position directly supervises Human Resources and/or Training staff.

To be considered, you should: Have A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business or related field and two years of Human Resources experience; or six years of equivalent experience as a Human Resources Generalist may be substituted. Master's degree, certification and/or PHR are preferred.

Minimum of two years of human resources experience in employee relations, training and/or employment.

Knowledge of Federal and State employment law, Human Resources policies and practices and governmental licensing requirements.

Successful management experience required.

Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees if required.

Be able to pass a criminal background check, child abuse registry, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Schedule: Five days on/two days off
