Working three days per week, this role focuses on early intervention, prevention and recovery support for young people experiencing substance misuse and related challenges.
The successful candidate will work within a community and outreach setting where building trust, consistency and engagement are central to achieving positive outcomes.
This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience within a specialist youth-focused service, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

What You'll Do Provide one-to-one support and structured interventions for young people (U18) Work with families and affected others to support positive outcomes Complete assessments, care planning and support reviews Build trusting and professional relationships with young people Support access to education, healthcare and recovery-focused services Collaborate with external agencies including CAMHS, Tusla and community support services Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive engagement Maintain accurate records, case notes and professional documentation Participate in multidisciplinary and interagency meetings Support a person-centred, strengths-based and recovery-focused approach to service delivery What You'll Need Qualification in Social Care, Counselling or a related discipline Experience working with young people, adolescents or family support services Experience within addiction services, mental health services or community-based supports desirable Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices Knowledge of interagency working and referral pathways Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Full Driving Licence and access to transport desirable Flexibility to work across Mullingar and Athlone locations Good standard of verbal and written English Eligibility xyswxtq to work in Ireland What You'll Get Competitive hourly rate (€20.07 per hour) Monday to Friday working pattern Temporary role with potential to become permanent Ongoing training and professional development Supportive and experienced team environment Opportunity to build specialist experience within youth addiction services Meaningful work supporting young people and families across the Midlands Subject To Garda Vetting Reference Checks Verification of Qualifications International Police Clearance where applicable At3Q Recruitment, We Put People First by supporting healthcare, social care and community professionals with quality opportunities, supportive recruitment and long-term career pathways across Ireland.
