Inside Sales Representative – HME
McKesson's Home Medical Equipment team is expanding in Richmond. We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to help us grow. Responsibilities
Drive sales through outbound calls and digital channels to HME customers. Generate new business via cold calling, prospecting, and re‑engagement of inactive accounts. Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and expand product utilization. Maintain strong product knowledge and stay current on industry trends and vendor offerings. Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and support customers with product‑related inquiries. Educate customers on available tools and platforms; analyze purchasing patterns to recommend solutions. Compensation
Base: $28.36 per hour ($58,988 annually). Uncapped Sales Incentive: target $31,000 annual (Paid Monthly). Total Target Cash = $89,988. Sales Incentive guaranteed for the first six months as you train and learn your territory. Total Target Cash Pay Range: $32.09 – $53.49. Training and Onboarding
This role includes a structured 4–6 week training program designed to set new hires up for success. Weeks1–3: In‑office Monday through Thursday, remote training on Fridays. Weeks4–6: Hybrid schedule with 1–3 days in office per week based on individual progress and performance. Post‑training: All Inside Sales team members will work Wednesdays in office. May be asked to work in office for other company events, product demonstrations or additional specialized training. Training program includes systems training (tools, platforms, and workflows), education on home healthcare customers and the HME product portfolio, and job shadowing with experienced team members. Minimum Requirements
2+ years of relevant experience. Skills & Competencies
2 years sales experience. Inside sales, healthcare, or B2B experience. Consultative, solutions‑oriented sales approach. Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment. Results‑driven, competitive mindset with a focus on achieving goals. Strong communication and active listening skills with a confident phone presence. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Salesforce.com. Ability to articulate value propositions tied to GPOs, PHD, and connectivity platforms (e.g., VGM, Brightree, Scan Manager, EDI systems). Positive attitude with strong resilience and adaptability.
