Contract Details
Duration: 12 months, possible extension.
Work Location: Fully onsite.
Job Summary This position supports enterprise network and identity services, including SD‑WAN, PKI, and secure authentication enhancements. The incumbent will act as a primary support resource for network and access-related issues, working under the Network Operations Center section manager and collaborating with other IT and non‑IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support enterprise network and identity initiatives including SD‑WAN deployment, PKI lifecycle management, and secure authentication services.
Monitor, identify, and remediate issues with agency enterprise network and identity services.
Support network connectivity and authentication services on Windows‑based systems.
Support connectivity and secure access on mobile devices (e.g., Apple devices).
Manage the network and identity infrastructure lifecycle at all stages.
Create and maintain network documentation (diagrams, coverage, and design documentation).
Assist with deployment, configuration, and support of SD‑WAN, PKI, and secure authentication solutions.
Perform enterprise network deployments, installations, and upgrades; perform firmware/software/security/feature upgrades across platforms.
Monitor agency trouble‑ticket system and complete assigned network, authentication, and connectivity tickets.
Serve as agency’s primary support resource for network and access‑related technical issues, troubleshooting and resolving common routine problems.
Required Skills (Ranked by Importance)
3+ years of experience with enterprise network infrastructure and LAN administration.
3+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting switches and wireless access points.
3+ years of experience with SD‑WAN, PKI, and secure authentication services.
3+ years of experience troubleshooting network connectivity on Windows and mobile devices.
3+ years of experience creating, reading, and maintaining network documentation and diagrams.
Preferred Skills
Current or previous network certification by industry leader (CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft).
Cisco Networking Academy or similar bootcamp/training.
Additional Skills
Ability to perform onsite physical network work, including lifting 40 lb and working on ladders.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel statewide with a state or personal vehicle.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical and non‑technical staff.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Required Education Associate’s Degree in a relevant field or high school diploma with equivalent work experience.
Required and Optional Certifications None required; preference may be given to certified applicants.
Other Requirements
Must sign the agency’s confidentiality and/or Business Associate agreement if applicable.
All web services must be secure.
Work must align with agency IT standards, policies, and procedures.
Contractors must be available onsite at DPH during each day/week as directed, with remote work requiring prior approval.
