Network Engineer Principal (Cloud Strategy & Migration)
Torch Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer Principal located at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex in Montgomery, AL, within the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES), to support the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Common Services (CS). Duties and Responsibilities: Advise and support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked IT systems. Analyze and recommend cloud infrastructure requirements. Recommend and maintain network architecture and infrastructure. Analyze network workload. Monitor network capacity and performance. Diagnose and resolve network problems. Recommend network backup and recovery procedures. Install, test, maintain, upgrade network operating systems software, and/or ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services. Required Qualifications: U.S Citizenship. BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline. 8 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 4 of which must be in the DoW; or 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoW. Minimum 3 yrs. experience developing, deploying or maintaining operational cloud (OCI, AWS and/or Azure) environments with an emphasis on federal or DoW systems (GovCloud, Cloud1) CompTIA Security+ Certification (or higher) Current Secret clearance—Required. Preferred Qualifications: Cloud experience (OCI) Atlassian Tool suite Agile Development methodologies ServiceNow Oracle Cloud Infrastructure- Highly desirable.
