Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) - Night ShiftLocation: ICE Detention Health Services Facility - Louisiana Provide essential nursing care in a secure federal facility serving individuals detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. This role offers a collaborative clinical environment supporting ambulatory, emergency, mental health, and infirmary services. Schedule & Work Hours
Night Shift Flexible scheduling: 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts Overview The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) delivers direct patient care within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include intake screening, medication administration, emergency response, and assisting providers with a wide range of clinical treatments. Duties / Key Responsibilities
Perform intake screening to identify conditions requiring referral or treatment Administer medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, topical, ophthalmic, and other approved routes Provide direct patient care and monitor patient status Perform treatments such as wound care, vital signs, electrocardiograms (EKGs), ear lavage, phlebotomy, nebulizer therapy, and tuberculosis (TB) skin tests Collect laboratory specimens, perform point-of-care testing, and assist with lab processing Respond to medical emergencies, stabilize patients, and coordinate transfer to higher levels of care when needed Assist providers by gathering subjective and objective patient data Support clinic operations and collaborate with medical, dental, and behavioral health teams Participate in involuntary or court-ordered care when required Qualifications
Current, full, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license in any U.S. state (Compact license preferred) Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a hospital, clinic, or residential setting Experience in a correctional, detention, or residential healthcare setting preferred Graduate of an accredited Practical/Vocational Nursing program BLS certification (American Heart Association) required Compensation & Benefits
