Counter Sales / Backup CDL Driver Location: Clarksville, TN - Filling industrial
Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and handle loading/unloading of high‑pressure and cryogenic gas cylinders.
Provide backup CDL driving services as needed, ensuring adherence to DOT vehicle inspections and hazardous material safety standards.
Sell industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment, soliciting sales from both new and existing customers.
Assist customers via email, telephone, and in‑person walk‑ins; provide guidance on equipment usage and material requirements.
Manage inventory of cylinders and hardgoods, maintaining proper levels to prevent supply emergencies.
Handle accounts receivable: discuss past‑due accounts, collect payments, and complete accurate paperwork including coding, costing, and pricing.
Qualifications
Valid Class A or B Driver’s License.
Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
Minimum 21 years of age.
At least one year of Class A professional driving experience within the last five years.
Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers.
Ability to routinely lift or move 25–75 lbs.; occasionally lift >100 lbs.
Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
Commitment to a drug‑free workplace.
Adherence to safety regulations and policies.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Forklift experience.
Touch freight delivery experience.
