Role Context: The IT Operations team manages the organization’s servers, networks, cloud services, and end-user computing environment. As a Junior Systems Administrator, you will work closely with senior administrators and help desk specialists to maintain system reliability and support business operations. Daily tasks may include creating user accounts, monitoring system performance, resolving technical issues, and assisting with software deployments. The role provides exposure to Windows and Linux environments, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity best practices.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the administration and maintenance of servers and network systems
Create, modify, and manage user accounts and access permissions
Monitor system performance and respond to alerts or service issues
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems
Support software installations, updates, and system upgrades
Maintain IT documentation, inventory records, and configuration details
Assist with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
Work with senior administrators to implement security policies and updates
Provide technical support to employees and internal departments
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, or cloud technologies
Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
Familiarity with Active Directory and user account management is beneficial
Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests
Experience through internships, labs, or academic projects is a plus
