Job Title System Administrator II! Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required
Education and Experience BS in technical field + 8 years' experience OR High School + 12 years' experience
Description
Creates, and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.
Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.
Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Apply patches and upgrades.
Troubleshoot server issues.
Administer customer accounts.
Deploy monitoring tools.
Deploy applications and tools.
Assist with escalated customer tickets.
Installation and cabling of equipment.
Required Qualifications
Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent).
Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository.
Experience working within a cloud environment (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines).
Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool.
Knowledge of software deployed on systems (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi).
Education: BS in technical field + 8 years' experience OR High School + 12 years' experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Syslog/NxLog.
Nagios or other similar monitoring applications.
Scripting experience (Python/Perl).
Salary $140,000-$145,000 (salary may vary based on location, contract category, experience, skills, education, certifications).
