Job Description Our client is currently seeking a Network Engineer-HYBRID. All candidates must currently live in the Metro-Las Vegas area.
Responsibilities
Analyze, design, install, configure, maintain, and repair enterprise network infrastructure and application components.
Configure and manage firewalls, VPN concentrators, and security appliances for access to vital business applications.
Manage assigned projects and program components for delivering services in accordance with established objectives.
Provide technical and design expertise; create flow diagrams, technical documentation, and reference guides.
Support and implement change management strategies.
Maintain and draft network diagrams and relevant technical documentation.
Act as a technical expert and support internal teams.
Design, configure, and manage complex switching and routing environments, supporting open or secure access.
Participate in designing data services supporting current business plans or create new strategic options.
Assist in designing multi-server environments.
Configure, install, and upgrade client and server network software; maintain network and telecommunication systems.
Maintain multi-site network operations, software applications, and operating systems across private and public facilities.
Provide technical assistance and support, responding in a timely manner to inquiries.
Administer networks related to systems, ensuring availability of services to authorized users.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education & Certification Bachelor’s Degree in IT or similar discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field is required.
CCNP or other certification preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
2-5 years’ experience designing, supporting, and delivering systems and network data architecture in a diverse multi-platform relational database environment.
2-5 years’ experience operating in a security operations capacity.
Ability to work on complex problems where situation analysis requires in-depth evaluations.
Some experience supporting voice and video applications.
Computer & Technical Skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Intermediate knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, network applications, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
Intermediate engineering practices for documentation and procedures.
In-depth understanding of operational dependencies between applications, networks, systems, security, and policies.
Hybrid Work Arrangement Hybrid Las Vegas (requires in-office presence). Candidates must currently live in the Metro-Las Vegas area.
