• Drive projects in the VEP Data Engineering by working cross-functionally with Product Management, Project Management, Data Architects, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Software Engineers, and other Data Engineers. • Customer empathy and delight will be the main drivers for success. • 70-85% hands-on development in all phases of the software life cycle. • Designing end to end data pipeline given business and ops requirements (ingestion, processing and storage). Conduct design and code reviews. • Own the tech vision and strategy for multiple domains or capabilities. • Identify dependencies, estimate work, sequence tasks as inputs to building project plans. • Build GenAI based solutions to solve for customers/Experts benefit or internal productivity gains. • Collaborates effectively with peer engineers and architects to solve complex engineering problems. • Influences and communicates effectively with non-technical audiences including senior product managers and business stakeholders. • Focus on operational excellence through root cause analysis and continuous improvement. • Ability to proactively follow issues through to resolution. • Contribute to innovations that fuel the growth of Intuit as a whole. Qualifications
• 10+ years software development experience with work experience in developing DB schemas, creating ETLs, and familiarity with MPP/Hadoop systems. • Advanced experience with scripting language – Python, Shell etc. • Experience with Amazon web services: EC2, S3, and EMR (Elastic MapReduce), Redshift or equivalent cloud computing approaches. • Hands on experience with Hadoop stack of technologies – mainly Hive, Hive on Spark. • Big Data: Designing, Building and maintaining highly scalable, robust & fault-tolerant complex data processing pipelines from the ground up. • Strong experience in AI and AI tools. • Experience working with large data volumes. • Experience creating and consuming JSON/REST web services and communicating with systems. • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and practices. • Experience working in Agile development teams; working knowledge of Agile (Scrum) development methodologies. • Operational mindset with ability to do Problem, SLA and Incident Management. • Strong expertise in writing analytical SQLs, Data Marts, Data Warehousing and analytic architecture. • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: Bay Area California $ 202,500- 274,000 Southern California $ 188,500-255,000.
