LINUX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SME

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Systems Administrator SME, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the US Department of War.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Administrator SME must have: • Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree • Experience: 15+ years of related experience • Technical skills: Experience with enterprise-level Linux distributions (e.g. Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and command line interface (CLI) Experience with system automation tools with a focus on Ansible Knowledge of network protocols and services (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare, KVM, Docker, OpenShift) Knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL) Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Nagios, Zabbix, ELK Stack) Understanding of security best practices and protocols Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Gitlab)
• Security clearance level: Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph • US citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
