Job Description
As a Security Guard Armed - Store Front Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a retail location, where you will conduct visible patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed license. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will help to deter incidents while putting people first and acting with integrity.

- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing visible armed presence when appropriate to help support site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, surrounding property, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help observe customer and employee activity, report concerns, and/or support loss prevention and policy compliance efforts.
- Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate with local management, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as needed regarding security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas only.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
