The Patient Care Assistant provides compassionate, high-quality direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. The PCA supports patient safety, comfort, and daily care needs while helping maintain a positive patient experience and efficient clinical environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility
- Obtain and document vital signs, intake/output, and other routine patient information accurately and timely
- Perform glucose monitoring and bladder scans and report results to RN
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance
- Support safe patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Maintain patient rooms in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Observe patients and report changes in condition, behavior, or safety concerns to nursing staff immediately
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient transport as needed
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families
- Follow infection prevention, safety, HIPAA, and hospital policies and procedures
- Assist RNs and physicians with other exams and treatments as required
Years of Experience: 1-3 years previous healthcare, hospital or long-term care experience
Language Skills: Proficient in English both verbally and written
Preferred Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent CNA certification preferred

- Ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
