About the Financial Product Team The Financial Product Engineering team leads Rippling’s expansion into FinTech. Our mission is to build a unified, global financial system for businesses—integrated with employee, HR, and IT data—to simplify processes like global payroll, corporate spending, and expense management, giving precise control and real‑time visibility over all money movement.
What We Build
Global Payroll: Systems for calculating, filing, and processing payroll across multiple countries, incorporating tax logic, compliance, and direct money movement infrastructure.
Spend Management: A platform that unifies corporate cards, reimbursements, procurement, bill pay, and travel into an integrated workflow that connects directly to accounting and payroll, with real‑time policy enforcement and approvals.
Banking & Fintech Infrastructure: An invisible, intelligent financial backbone that delivers secure, fault‑tolerant, scalable primitives for money movement, billing, reconciliation, compliance, and financial intelligence, enabling rapid launch of financial products with minimal effort.
Tax & Compliance Platforms: Robust, scalable systems to handle complex tax and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, managing calculation, setup, filings, and payments of taxes for the US and expanding international markets.
What You Will Do
Design and implement features with an emphasis on backend logic, API development, and data integrity, while also contributing to frontend implementation.
Work across the stack, focusing on API design, event modeling, and robust data management while ensuring a seamless connection to the user interface.
Own the full development lifecycle for features, ensuring that the backend architecture supports reliable functionality and excellent frontend performance.
Work closely with cross‑functional partners to understand requirements, refine technical scope, and drive successful, reliable feature delivery.
What You Will Need
2+ years of professional experience focused on full‑stack development, delivering reliable, end‑to‑end products using a backend language (e.g., Python/Go) and frontend technologies such as React/TypeScript.
Ability to prioritize projects based on business impact, ensuring high‑quality implementation without unnecessary complexity.
Capacity to thrive in dynamic environments, switching quickly between frontend and backend work to accelerate delivery.
Strong communication skills to articulate technical trade‑offs across the stack with clarity and precision to both frontend and backend partners.

Salary Information
San Francisco Office: $152,000 – $225,000 USD per year
US Tier 1: $135,000 – $225,000 USD per year
This role includes competitive salary, benefits, and equity.
