Lead Application Administrator – Public Safety Applications Office of Information Technology Responsible for supporting the technology needs of Brown University’s Department of Public Safety, a sworn, fully‑functioning law enforcement agency operating 24/7 to protect and serve the Brown community. Responsibilities Application administration for Public Safety applications (CCure 9000, Genetec, Zetron, IMC, NICE 911, RILETS) End‑user support, training, and documentation for all Public Safety applications Lead development of Kanban‑based workflow to manage team priorities and operational excellence Write and maintain technical documentation to support cross‑training of the team Coordinate functional test plans with stakeholders to validate all application upgrades and regression testing Participate in upgrades, application and security patches, and support change management processes Assist in training other application administrators and cross‑training peers Ensure documentation, testing, and training for all upgrades and security patches Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred 5+ years of experience with enterprise‑level business application support or administration 1–2 years in a lead, supervisory, or senior‑level role with mentorship responsibilities Experience developing & leading end‑user training and technical documentation Experience developing & leading peer training and technical documentation Preferred experience in Public Safety or Enterprise application administration (e.g., CCure 9000, Genetec, IMC, NICE 911, Zetron) Preferred skills: SQL queries, SSRS, Active Directory, Group Policy, Agile/Kanban/Lean methodologies Preferred certifications: CCure 9000 Certified, Genetec Security Center Certified Strong application support/administration abilities for 24x7 critical operations Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and project planning skills Knowledge of databases, SQL, TCP/IP networking, and IT change management processes Excellent customer service, communication, and collaboration skills Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications Higher education experience preferred Must complete a criminal background check and CJIS background check Job Competencies Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and coordination skills Ability to manage lightweight projects to completion without direct supervision Experience writing both technical and non‑technical documentation Ability to bridge configurations and user‑friendly documentation Ability to work effectively in teams and manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities Excellent writing and verbal communication skills Employment Grade: 11; Type: Employee, Regular Time; Full time; 37.5 hours per week; Remote position within approved states.
