Role Overview We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager for our Image and Data Compression Libraries at NVIDIA. This role involves leading teams that develop new technology for accelerated image and data processing solutions, and building software that powers the future and impacts millions worldwide. Responsibilities Manage a team of highly skilled engineers focused on accelerated image and data processing. Lead and empower the team to conduct projects that meet both internal and external customer needs. Build and maintain a project roadmap that aligns with our goals and customer expectations. Determine project goals and scope, ensuring execution and delivery. Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment that promotes innovation and creativity. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Math, or a related field, or equivalent experience. At least five years of experience, including three or more in team management, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Experience designing and testing large-scale software with solid examples from past career. Proficiency in C++ and Python. Strong communication skills, enabling direct contact and effective collaboration with the open source community. Experience with parallel programming and performance optimization on modern computer architectures (e.g., CUDA, MPI, NVSHMEM, NCCL, AVX). Preferred Qualifications Experience with image processing concepts and algorithms (geometry transformations, filtering, morphological operations, color models). Knowledge of image and data compression formats and algorithms (jpeg, tiff, png, deflate, zStd, ANS). Prior experience working with distributed teams across different locations. Compensation & Benefits Your base salary will be determined based on location, experience, and market rates. The base salary range is $200,000 - $322,000 USD.
