BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician in Monterey, CA! Compensation: APCA I - LVT IV Pay: $24.28 - $49.19/hour This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system .

Applicants should have a strong knowledge base, motivation to learn, and ambition to work in a fast-paced team environment. As a Neurology Veterinary Technician , you will:
Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg,etc).
Induce,monitorand recover anesthesia
Set up for MRI and CT procedures.
Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion,etc..Providenursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values
Perform call backsand refill medications
Client education, gathering histories and communicating that to the Clinician
Perform physicalexam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratoryrateand effort.
Understand normal vital parameters
Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture
Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumpsand cantroubleshoot errors.
Restrain patients during consults and during diagnostics
