Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a leading utilities location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.20 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeSat09:00 PM - 05:00 AMSun09:00 PM - 05:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of operational areas, buildings, access points, and perimeter routes, reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Monitor entry and exit activity for restricted and/or sensitive areas, verify credentials and authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access or policy violations.
- Document incidents, patrol activity, and/or observations in required reports, logs, and systems, while communicating relevant updates to site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency responders.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
