Über

Inspects production units in various stages of production to ensure conformance with standards and codes. Compares product with purchase orders and parts lists to ensure correct completion.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Train inspectors on measurement equipment (Faro arm, Scanner…) and inspection methods as it relates to production departments. Set inspection priorities. Participate in QA inspector reviews. Monitor calibration activities. Support implementation of ISO initiative. Set First Article inspection priorities – communicate priorities with PC, QE & QM. Communicate priorities to Quality Engineer and Quality Manager. Fulfill PPAP requirements. Control Plan, FMEA, Flow Diagram, packaging…per ISO and customer requirements. Participate in internal APQP meetings (development of PPAP requirements). Transfer that information to appropriate documents withing IFS. Inspects nearly completed units in the final line, tapes and writes up all defects or shortages requiring correction. Informs final department supervisor or designated employees of noted corrections and follows up to ensure completion. Verify all furnishings, accessories, standard features, options and decors against purchase order and standard specifications. Seeks correction of any discrepancies or shortages found. Conducts a walk-through inspection of all units on the production line at least once each day to verify correct features of units in production. Gain working knowledge of customer Engineering Specification and Customer Supplier manuals. Meet and cooperate with engineering, sales and customer service departments to assure optional and standard features and quality standards are communicated to production. Trains employees in proper work procedures and quality adherence. Keeps supervisor informed of any recurring or unusual quality problems. Provides input in finding acceptable solutions. Completes all required records and reports. Performs other duties as assigned. The Company:
