Network Engineer Principal Specialist, Information Workplace Services (P3) – Raytheon Digital Technology Classified Infrastructure Services Location: Tucson, AZ, onsite. U.S. citizenship required. Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required prior to start. Responsibilities Focus on inter‑team communication and documentation of network details to support project growth. Maintain smooth operation of voice and data networks. Plan, evaluate and perform installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software for data/voice communication networks. Develop expertise in hardware/software interconnection, e.g., switches, routers, firewalls, authentication servers, encryptors. Maintain network management software platforms. Propose solutions to ensure communications meet future needs, optimize cost savings, redundancy, uptime. Prepare or ensure appropriate documentation: operational instructions, technical diagrams, etc. Monitor and analyze network performance, short‑ and long‑range planning. Coordinate third‑party maintenance and vendor support. Design network architectures, including hardware/software choice, hierarchical architecture, geographical limitations. Work with program engineers to resolve networking problems in tactical environments. Mentor, train and share knowledge with technical team. Work outside normal business hours as needed. Follow established procedures and general supervision. What You Will Learn Apply network engineering skills to defense‑oriented programs. Obtain Security+ certification within 6 months, CCNA within a year. Required Qualifications University degree (or equivalent) AND minimum 5 years relevant experience, or advanced degree AND minimum 3 years experience. Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, including upgrades. Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret) required prior to start. U.S. citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications Cisco ISE experience with 802.1X, SolarWinds, and setting up client/server environments for government networks. Current cabling and fiber standards experience. Experience with ACLs, security posture, vendor best practices. Visio diagramming and design. 1‑2 years network management software experience. Travel domestically as needed. Knowledge of encryption device configuration and troubleshooting. Customer service skills and oral/written communication. Experience with IP telephony, NTP, GemOne, SolarWinds. Ability to work under time constraints. Experience with classified computing, STIG compliance, network refreshes. Current DoD Top Secret clearance (though main clearance is Secret). Benefits / Compensation Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
