Position Overview: Asentria is seeking a Linux Software Developer (fully remote) to work with our software and hardware engineering team on all aspects of our embedded OS and product applications. The successful candidate for the position of Embedded Linux Software Developer must: Design, code, configure, modify, and integrate software for an embedded Linux target (applications, drivers, open source, kernel, boot loader) Customization, deployment, and maintenance of Linux distribution on different hardware platforms, as needed Perform test unit, verification, and validation of the product developed. Document the projects according to Asentria standards (protocols, architecture, technical Participate in the transfer of new features to production Offer occasional assistance to Technical Support; Incorporate builds into continuous integration where applicable; Maintain and support our build system in a continuous integration environment, including packaging and deployment of software; Develop in an agile environment; Work with QA to test and validate code before release; Qualifications: A strong candidate will have the following qualifications: Strong C Programming experience Creation/modification of Linux drivers Experience implementing communication protocols a plus Experience in networking and security a plus Experience in embedded systems a plus Experience in SQLite a plus To the end that excellent and reliable embedded firmware is written and completed which meets the requirements and which is easily supportable, with high quality and in volume.
