*Job Summary*
We are seeking an energetic and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our organization’s technological innovation and strategic direction. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will drive the development, implementation, and management of cutting-edge technology solutions that support our business goals. Your leadership will foster a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and excellence in technology management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies such as AI and cloud computing, enabling us to stay ahead in a competitive landscape.
*Duties*
* Develop and execute the organization’s overall technology strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring scalability and sustainability.
* Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure including WAN (Wide Area Network), cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), and distributed systems to optimize operational efficiency.
* Oversee software development projects utilizing frameworks such as React, Angular, Node.js, .NET, Java, Python, PHP, and C#, ensuring adherence to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
* Manage cybersecurity initiatives including firewall configuration, risk management, disaster recovery planning, compliance with PCI standards, FISMA regulations, ISO standards, NIST standards, and IT governance policies.
* Drive innovation through AI and machine learning applications such as natural language processing and predictive analytics to enhance product offerings and operational insights.
* Lead team management efforts by fostering leadership development within IT teams while promoting Agile methodologies for project management.
* Oversee budgeting processes for technology investments and ensure optimal allocation of resources to support strategic initiatives.
* Establish business continuity plans and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical systems and data across cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
* Negotiate vendor contracts for hardware, software licenses, cloud services (including AWS and Azure), APIs integration, ERP systems, and other enterprise solutions.
*Experience*
* Proven experience in senior leadership roles as a CTO or equivalent within a dynamic organization with a focus on IT management and strategic planning.
* Extensive background in computer science or related fields with hands-on knowledge of computer networking, system design, application development, DevOps practices, and system security protocols.
* Demonstrated expertise in managing complex IT infrastructures including WANs, LANs (Local Area Networks), cloud computing environments (AWS/Azure), firewalls, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), and cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST standards.
* Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), and product management principles.
* Experience working with distributed systems architectures utilizing JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular alongside backend technologies such as Node.js or .NET.
* Knowledge of compliance standards including PCI DSS for payment security and FISMA for federal information security requirements is highly desirable.
* Excellent analysis skills with the ability to evaluate emerging technologies like AI/ML applications—natural language processing or machine learning—to inform strategic decisions.

Pay: $161,138.00 - $205,655.00 per year
