We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Nurse RN, to support the planning and implementation of our Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Current valid Pennsylvania license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
A minimum of five (5) years of recent nursing experience in home health care is recommended. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in electronic health records software and Microsoft Office Suite. Key Responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Nurse RN:
Conduct random reviews of patient records to ensure documentation compliance and completeness. Perform audits to verify that the agency adheres to all regulations related to home health care. Assess that patients receive the appropriate level of care services and that these services are utilized effectively. Engage in quality assurance activities related to infection control, incident reports, patient concerns, suspected abuse/neglect, corporate compliance, and emergency preparedness. Respond to Additional Development Requests (ADRs) from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and any other external audit requests. Manage requests for Medicare appeals, including reconsiderations, reviews, and hearings for the agency. Assist in developing and updating the annual agency emergency preparedness plan, participate in the annual hazards vulnerability assessment, and ensure completion of all required training and testing. Assist with the orientation of new staff regarding Medicare requirements, PPS, OASIS, and documentation standards.
