Position Overview Your mission is to become the technical backbone of our go-to-market motion, partnering directly with Sales to win complex enterprise deals and translating customer needs into scalable, production-ready solutions.
As our first Solutions Architect, you will operate as a true founding member of the GTM team. You will work side-by-side with our Head of Sales/AEs to drive technical discovery, shape solutions, and de-risk deals across AI safety, evaluation, safety monitoring and human-data workflows. This is a highly customer-facing, pre-sales role. You will engage deeply with ML platform teams, safety/alignment leaders, and data organizations, helping them understand how mpathic integrates into their systems via APIs, human services, and our platform.
You will also define how Solutions Architecture works at mpathic: building the playbooks, demos, assets, and patterns that enable us to scale.
This is a U.S.-based remote position. Candidates must reside in the United States. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
Partner directly with the Head of Sales on technical discovery, deal strategy, and solution design across Enterprise and Commercial opportunities.
Lead technical conversations with ML/AI platform teams, safety/alignment teams, and data leaders.
Own technical validation processes including architecture design, POCs, pilots, and security/technical evaluations.
Translate ambiguous customer requirements into clear, executable solution architectures.
Design end-to-end solutions that integrate mpathic’s platform, APIs, and services into customer AI/ML workflows.
Advise customers on how to implement evaluation pipelines, human feedback loops, red teaming workflows, and annotation systems.
Architect integrations across APIs, data pipelines, and customer infrastructure.
Create reference architectures and reusable patterns for common customer use cases.
Hands-On Deal Support
Build lightweight prototypes, scripts, or integrations to unblock deals when needed (e.g., API integrations, dashboard definitions, data flows).
Customize demos and technical materials to reflect real customer environments and use cases.
Support technical objections, security reviews, and procurement processes with confidence.
Define the Solutions Architect role at mpathic, including engagement model, tooling, and success metrics.
Develop repeatable playbooks for discovery, technical validation, and solution design.
Create scalable assets such as demo environments, architecture diagrams, and integration templates.
Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure tight alignment across the customer lifecycle.
Market Insight & Cross-Functional Impact
Act as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering, shaping roadmap and prioritization.
Maintain deep knowledge of the AI ecosystem, particularly AI safety, evaluation, RLHF, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
Help refine positioning and messaging based on real customer interactions.
Represent mpathic.ai in technical discussions with customers and at industry events.
Qualifications Candidates must reside in the United States and be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Required Experience
7+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
Experience as a first or early Solutions Architect at a startup, with a track record of building from zero-to-one.
Strong experience supporting enterprise SaaS sales, particularly API-first or platform products.
Proven success working with ML/AI platform teams, data organizations, or developer-focused buyers.
Experience driving complex, technical, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
Familiarity with AI safety, evaluation, RLHF, red teaming, or human-in-the-loop data workflows.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, and modern SaaS architectures.
Comfort working with data pipelines, analytics layers (e.g., tools like cube.dev), and ML/AI workflows.
Ability to build lightweight prototypes, integrations, or technical assets to support deals.
Familiarity with cloud environments and deploying or integrating technical solutions.
