In this role, you will be a foundational member of our development operations team working closely with our software engineering team to ensure our software is robust and reliable. You will develop CI/CD pipelines and other automation tooling to run virtually and on embedded computers and work to define the strategy for software traceability. In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will build dashboards and metrics analysis tools used to report stability and quality to senior leadership as well as the rest of the team. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design, deploy, and manage automated testing and deployment processes Define and implement our scalable infrastructure Drive the adoption of CI/CD practices within the SW team Develop internal tools to drive software team productivity Provide analytics on the tools the software team deploys
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum B.S. degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering. Other engineering or science degrees will be considered if experience in above responsibilities is met 3+ years of experience creating automations using CI/CD platforms (GitLab, Github actions, Azure pipelines) 3+ years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) 3+ years of experience with distributed on-prem system deployment, management, and monitoring Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux scripting Knowledge and proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) Knowledge and practical usage of version control systems (Git) Experience in an Agile environment and working in a multi-developer team on multi-app/service platforms Ability to quickly learn new tools and frameworks Stay on the cutting edge of systems, networking, security, and virtualization technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, Grafana) Experience with tooling around LabVIEW, C#, React, C++, Python, Linux Experience working with on-prem hardware in test environments Working knowledge of cluster technologies (Kubernetes, Rancher, Flux, Fleet) Familiarity with containerization (Docker) Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible / Terraform / Helm)
