Position Overview: We are looking for a
Consultant (Independent Contractor)
to generate new business opportunities for Sho-Soft through proactive outreach and lead qualification. In this role, you will research prospects, execute outbound campaigns, and book qualified meetings with event venues, producers, and agencies. You will act as the first point of contact for many potential customers, playing a vital role in fueling Sho-Soft’s growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys high-energy sales development, can work independently, and thrives in a fast-moving startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify new prospects within target markets (venues, event producers, agencies).
Execute personalized outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone to decision-makers.
Qualify leads using frameworks such as BANT or MEDDIC.
Book and schedule discovery/demo calls for the Sho-Soft sales or executive team.
Maintain accurate activity and lead tracking in CRM.
Provide feedback on common objections, competitor insights, and market trends.
Collaborate with leadership to refine messaging, campaigns, and go-to-market strategy.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in an SDR, BDR, or similar sales role (SaaS or event tech preferred).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage high-volume outreach while maintaining personalization.
Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working independently as a contractor.
Familiarity with the event industry (ticketing, venue operations, or event production) is a plus.
Success Metrics (First 90 Days)
Build and maintain a targeted prospect list.
Execute a minimum of 50+ outreach touches per day.
Consistently book 8–12 qualified meetings per month.
Generate 10–15 sales qualified leads (SQLs) per month.
Influence 20–30% of new opportunities in Sho-Soft’s pipeline.
