As a Armed Security Officer - Office Building in Las Vegas, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $20.34 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeFri08:00 AM - 06:00 PMHow This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and/or authorizations as required for restricted areas, while following post orders and applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation related to patrol activity, inspections, and/or response actions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
