Pediatric Neurologist faculty position

As part of the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Flint, Mich., Campus, Hurley Medical Center and Children’s Hospital are seeking an energetic and dynamic individual to join its Pediatrics faculty team.

The position:A pediatric neurology faculty member for outpatient and consultative inpatient care for neurology patients

This academic position involves teaching resident physicians and medical students, as well as participating as an active faculty member. Candidates must have strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, and tech-savvy skills and a willingness to work with an urban population.

Academic appointment

Hurley faculty members may apply for an academic appointment with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine at a rank commensurate with experience.

Loan forgiveness

Loan forgiveness may be possible for those with eligible student debt under the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

Visa status

H1-B visas are acceptable.

  • Clinic locations: 1) The Hurley Pediatric Specialists - Linden Road clinic is on South Linden Road, Flint, with convenient access from highways and major roads (and very close to shopping districts). 2) Hurley Children's Center is atop the Flint Farmers Market on East First Street, Flint, across the street from the Flint Campus of Michigan State University. 3) Hurley Pediatric Specialists - Rashelle Drive is located on Rashelle Drive, Flint, Mich.

  • Inpatient location:Hurley Medical Center is located in Flint, overlooking the downtown area. The nearby Flint Farmers’ Market provides access to fresh produce, bakeries, restaurants, and shopping. The nearby Flint Cultural Center is befitting for the one-time largest General Motors complex in the world. And two Big Ten schools have downtown Flint locations as well: Michigan State University and the University of Michigan-Flint. A third world-class institution, Kettering University, is also nearby, as is Mott Community College. Across the street from Hurley Medical Center, just past Hurley’s outdoor fitness trail, is Atwood Stadium, where the Flint City Bucks men's and Flint City AFC women's soccer teams play home games.
