Project Manager – Conventional Island (Electrical)

Location: London or Bristol or Suffolk (Hybrid working - minimum 3 days on in the office) with frequent travel required

Salary:  £70,000-£80,000 depending on experience + bonus +excellent benefits including up to 5% bonus, contributory pension employee up to 7.5% employer up to 15%, 28 days annual leave + bank holidays, opportunity to buy and sell holiday, benefits portal with optional purchases such as private healthcare, dental cover, critical illness, electric car schemes, etc.

Why Join as a Project Manager - Conventional Island (Electrical)?

This is a unique opportunity to lead the delivery of high value electrical engineering contracts within the Conventional Island (CI) scope of the Sizewell C project. You’ll be at the heart of a regulated, complex infrastructure programme, managing the full lifecycle of electrical projects from design through to commissioning.

You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team including various stakeholders in a role that offers autonomy, flexibility, and the chance to influence one of the UK’s most significant energy developments.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Overseeing engineering contracts up to £100m within the CI/BOP programme
  • Driving delivery of high-voltage electrical systems and infrastructure
  • Managing internal and external interfaces to ensure coordinated project execution
  • Leading procurement and contract preparation for post-FID phases
  • Implementing site-specific design changes and ensuring robust pricing
  • Engaging with stakeholders, suppliers, and senior leadership

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • 5+ years of project management experience in electrical engineering
  • Previous major project experience
  • Background in high voltage distribution, transmission, or building services
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g. oil & gas, MOD, energy, airports)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Desirable

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Nuclear industry experience
  • Chartered Engineer status
  • Experience with procurement and contract management in large scale projects
